SEBI Investigation: Allegations of Financial Misconduct

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has initiated a probe into BluSmart's co-founder, Anmol Singh Jaggi, for allegedly misappropriating funds from Gensol Engineering Ltd., a company affiliated with BluSmart. SEBI's investigation suggests that funds intended for procuring electric vehicles were diverted for personal expenses, including the purchase of a luxury apartment and other unrelated expenditures. Customers have also expressed concerns about refunds for their BluSmart wallet balances. The company has assured users that refunds will be initiated within the next 90 days if services do not resume before then.

Safety Incident: Passenger Robbed at Gunpoint

Adding to BluSmart's woes, a disturbing incident occurred in Gurugram, where a woman and her child were allegedly robbed at gunpoint by a BluSmart driver. The driver forced the woman to transfer ₹55,000 via UPI and fled with her belongings. The driver was later arrested by the police.BluSmart issued a statement expressing deep regret over the incident and assured that steps are being taken to strengthen safety protocols. The company highlighted its existing measures, including background checks and facial recognition technology, and promised to enhance these systems to prevent such incidents in the future.
