AAP Responds with Protest and Social Media Critique The Aam Aadmi Party launched a counter-campaign to revive their headline pledge of monthly financial support of ₹2,500 for women. According to AAP officials, the BJP government has "failed to uphold basic welfare commitments," particularly for underprivileged groups. On social media, the AAP accused the BJP of removing pensions for widows and the elderly, stating that it had "snatched their right to live with dignity." In a sharp tweet, AAP stated: "By stopping the pension of widows and elderly people, the BJP government has betrayed the most vulnerable citizens of Delhi."
The opposition party has also questioned the BJP's silence on various stalled public benefit schemes, calling for their prompt reinstatement and growth.
