Telangana Government Is Warned by SC to Either Restore Kancha Gachibowli Forest or Face Jail
The Supreme Court of India has slapped the Telangana administration with a severe warning: either restore the devasted Kancha Gachibowli forest region or top officials, including the State Chief Secretary, may be punished by imprisonment. The unlawful deforestation occurring in the Kancha Gachibowli district under the pretense of an IT infrastructure project was strongly condemned by the apex court during the hearing on Wednesday.
