Four astronauts, including Shubhanshu Shukla of India, went to the International Space Station

The Axium-4 mission, which carried India's Shubhanshu Shukla and three other astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS), was launched on June 25 at around 12 noon Indian time. This mission had been postponed multiple times owing to technological issues and other complications. The Axium-4 mission is a commercial spaceflight. This mission is being run by Axium Space, a Houston-based corporation. NASA says: "Along with Shubhanshu Shukla, those going to the International Space Station include Slavosz Aznanski Wisniewski of Poland, Tibor Capu of Hungary and Peggy Whitson of the United States." The astronauts will be there for two weeks. Rakesh Sharma was the first Indian to travel into space as part of a Russian mission in 1984.
