99.8 percent of Bihar voters are included in the SIR: Election Commission

The Election Commission of India has made a statement regarding the particularly intensive revision of the voter list now underway in Bihar.

According to the Commission, "7.23 crore voters of Bihar have expressed full faith in the SIR process with their active participation."

So far, 99.8% of Bihar voters have been included in this revision.

The Election Commission has declared that the forms for 7.23 crore voters have been received and digitalized.

Aside from that, seven lakh persons had votes in more than two different locations.

During the revision, it was also discovered that 35 lakh voters had relocated permanently.

The election commission has yet to receive applications from 1.2 lakh people.
