Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of the Samajwadi Party, has made grave accusations against the Election Commission.
In reference to the Uttar Pradesh by-elections, Akhilesh Yadav told reporters on Saturday, "There has always been a concern about whether the Election Commission will do justice or not."
He explained, "What we should have a full debate on is the by-election in Uttar Pradesh."
Direct accusations of "kidnapping votes" were made against the Election Commission by Akhilesh Yadav.
Rahul Gandhi, the Lok Sabha's Leader of the Opposition, had previously questioned the Election Commission as well. Rahul Gandhi's claims, however, have been denied by the Election Commission.
The Samajwadi Party won two seats, the RLD won one, and the BJP won six seats in the 2024 Uttar Pradesh Assembly by-elections for nine seats.
