Rahul Gandhi's 'Vote Adhikar Yatra' in Bihar is the focus of the three laws that were introduced in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, according to Congress Deputy Leader in the Lok Sabha Gaurav Gogoi.
Gogoi noted on X, "Home Minister Amit Shah's bills are nothing more than one final attempt to distract the public from Rahul Gandhi's massive Vote Adhikar Yatra."
He wrote, "CSDS-BJP IT cell drama and now this law. It is evident that Bihar is experiencing a wave of transformation.
Senior Congress spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi, meanwhile, said on 'X': "What an unfair circle! No rules on arrests need to be followed! illegal and unwarranted detentions of opposition figures.
"The current Chief Minister will be removed immediately following the arrest under the proposed law," Singhvi stated. Using state authorities to arrest the chief ministers is the simplest method of disrupting the opposition.
On Wednesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is also expected to present a proposal in the Lok Sabha to refer all three laws to a joint committee of Parliament, according to PTI.
If the Prime Minister, Union Minister, Chief Minister, or State Minister is arrested or jailed on serious criminal charges, it allows for their removal.
