A 22-year-old Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) candidate was discovered dead in his private hostel room in the Narayanaguda neighborhood of Hyderabad on Wednesday, in a tragic development. D. Praveen, a citizen of Telangana's Bhadradri Kothagudem district, has been identified as the deceased. In order to get ready for the extremely difficult JEE (Main) exam, which opens admission to India's top engineering schools, he had relocated to Hyderabad. Praveen had been residing in a private hostel for a number of months, according to local sources. When he didn't answer knocks on his door during the day, hostel staff called the police. Praveen was discovered unconscious when the room was eventually opened.
His death was confirmed by Narayanaguda Station police, who have also opened a preliminary investigation to ascertain the cause. Although the cause of death has not yet been formally determined, no exterior injuries have been reported, and no suicide note has been discovered as of yet. “We have notified the family,” said a police officer working on the investigation. A postmortem has been ordered for the body. We are not ruling out any options at this time, including health issues brought on by stress. Serious questions concerning the psychological and emotional strain students endure when studying for competitive, high-stakes tests like the JEE have been brought up by the occurrence once more.
Residents and the local education community have also offered their sorrow. Authorities are being urged by a number of local parents and students to enhance student wellness assistance and hostel counseling services. As the inquiry continues, more information will be available.
