Two palanquin drivers died and three were injured in a landslide on the Kedarnath Yatra path.

An accident occurred on Wednesday morning during a pilgrimage to Kedarnath Dham in Uttarakhand. This resulted in two deaths and three injuries. The unexpected fall of rubble and stones from the hill near Jangalchatti ghat struck passengers and palanquin drivers passing by. The incident occurred at approximately 11:20 a.m. Nandan Singh Rajwar, District Disaster Management Officer, stated that "some people fell into the ditch after being hit by the debris." Teams from the NDRF, SDRF, Police, and DDRF rushed to the scene and began rescue efforts." He continued: "In this accident, two sedan drivers died on the spot while three people were injured." According to the police, a woman received minor injuries in the crash, while two men were critically injured. He elaborated: "All the injured have been sent to Gaurikund Hospital after first aid."
