What's happened so far?
At 10:38 a.m. Indian time, US President Donald Trump announced on social media that Iran and Israel had agreed to a truce.
Just an hour after this declaration, Israel announced that it had accepted to the US cease-fire agreement, but Iran had previously stated that if Israel ceased its strikes, we would do the same.
At 1 p.m. Indian time, the Israeli army said that it had discovered and intercepted Iranian missiles over northern Israel.
Iran denies firing any missiles, but the IDF has stated that Israel will "respond forcefully."
Prior to the ceasefire, both sides exchanged heavy fire overnight. According to Iranian official television, Israeli missiles hit the capital and other cities, killing at least nine individuals, including a nuclear scientist.
Beersheba, Israel, had at least four persons dead and 22 injured.
