Greater Noida: What did the police say after the suspect in the wife's murder was shot in the leg?

A woman's murder case from Uttar Pradesh's Greater Noida recently came to light. The woman was allegedly murdered by her husband and his family.

According to news agency ANI, Sudhir Kumar, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) for Greater Noida, "On August 21, 2025, information was received that a man along with his family had burnt his wife to death."

According to the ADCP, the police had accused Vipin, filed a complaint, and taken the victim's husband into custody.

He claims that the accused tried to run away while collecting the bottles containing the explosive substances used in the case.

According to ADCP Sudhir Kumar, "The accused attempted to escape by stealing the inspector's pistol." The accused person opened fire on the cops when they surrounded him. The accused's leg was injured by a gunshot fired by the police in response.

The police claim that the accused has been admitted to the hospital for medical attention. All of the accusations against him have been denied by the accused person.
